Worcester police seek to identify two people involved in vandalism of rainbow house made during POW! WOW! Worcester art festival
Worcester police are asking for the public’s help to identify two people believed to be involved in the vandalism of the stained glass rainbow house, an art installation added to Worcester Common during the POW! WOW! Worcester festival.
Surveillance photos of the two suspects were released Wednesday.
Police ask anyone who recognizes the individuals to call the Worcester Police Detective Bureau at 508-799-8651. Tipsters can also send an anonymous text to 274637 TIPWPD or a web message at worcesterma.gov/police.
Around 8 a.m. Monday, police received a report that the rainbow house had been vandalized over the weekend.
Several of the stained glass panels were smashed and the frame of the structure was also damaged.
Police believe the art installation may have been vandalized on Friday night and again on Saturday night.
The investigation is ongoing.
Artist Sarah Brueck Williams created the rainbow house last month as a part of the third POW! WOW! Worcester art festival.
