Edison Arts Society Opens 2019 with Watercolor and Cut-Glass Artists
Edison, NJ – The Edison Arts Society will launch its 2019 programing by showcasing local artist Leonard Mesonas with his Solo Artist Exhibit. The opening will be held on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 in the Edison Arts Society Gallery on the 3rd floor of the Municipal building in Edison at 6:30 pm. The exhibit will run from January 9th thru February 1st and the Gallery is open to the public from 8:30am until 4pm during the business week.
Mr. Mesonas, a former Industrial Arts and Mathematics teacher in the Edison Township Public Schools, retired in 2002. He is currently an adjunct professor at Kean University in the General Studies Department teaching “Transition to Kean” to incoming freshman. Mr. Mesonas is a member of the Oak Tree Watercolor Group. One of his watercolors is currently on display at The Old School House in Metuchen and a number are on display at the Oak Tree Presbyterian Church on Plainfield Road in Edison.
In addition, Lois Hatolski, Cut Glass Artist, will have some of her creative and detailed art pieces on display in the EAS Art Case for view and sale. Ms. Hatolski has been a ceramic artist for approximately twenty years. She recently changed focus to cut glass creations under the tutelage of EAS Artist and Member, Judith Tyndall.
